Through the Lens of Merced Camera Club:
Historical Landmarks in a New Light
Historical Landmarks in a New Light
Exhibit Opening: Thursday, May 12
Merced County Courthouse Museum will open "Historic Landmarks in a New Light" exhibit on Thursday, May 12. It is a joint effort between the Museum and the Merced Camera Club. Historical landmarks in Merced County and neighboring areas are shown in a new light with artistic photos shot by members of the Camera Club. Some of the subjects being explored include Eagle Field in Dos Palos, Merced County's first courthouse, a historic church in Le Grand, an old fashioned lunch counter in Los Banos, Indian archaeological sites, and a Portuguese Festa in Gustine. These captured glimpses of Merced County’s people and places will be presented along with historic photos from our Museum collection. At the exhibit opening, Club President Andy Tolsma will give a PowerPoint Presentation at 6:00 p.m.
