Celebrating Merced’s 125th Anniversary
Exhibit Opening: Thursday, June 26, 2014
Merced County Courthouse Museum will open “Celebrating Merced’s 125th Anniversary” exhibit on Thursday, June 26 at 5:00 p.m. This joint exhibit between the Courthouse Museum and Merced Union High School District will chronicle the history of Merced from its incorporation in 1889 to the present day and showcase the progress of our lovely city in the past 125 years with a look at its government, business, and culture. At the exhibit opening reception on June 26, the museum will present a historical narrative entitled, “Farewell Castle and Welcome UC Merced,” along with music performed by Fatherly Bond Barbershop Quartet at 6 p.m. For more information about the exhibit, please contact the Courthouse Museum at 723-2401. The exhibit is free to the public and will run through September 28.
