Pioneering Classes:
Early Years of Merced County High Schools
Early Years of Merced County High Schools
January 14, 2010 – April 3, 2010
Merced County Courthouse Museum will open a new exhibit entitled “Pioneering Classes: Early Years of Merced County High School” on January 14. Merced Union High School was organized in 1895. Since Merced High, there have been 12 more high schools established in Merced County with Buhach Colony High School being the latest one. This exhibit explores the challenge of founding a new school and fondly remembers the pioneering classes of the different high schools. To celebrate the opening of the exhibit, Merced High School Choir under the direction of Brad Reed will perform at 6:00 pm on Thursday, January 14. The exhibit will run through April 3.
